Kumare

Hello fellow Ex-Mormon's, curious Mormon's, and random reader's alike! 

Yesterday evening I had the opportunity to watch a movie I found extremely interesting. It wasn't about Mormonism... But instead about a curious man, who became a false Guru, to see what the effects would be, and if he could indeed form a group of followers. 

The man had always struggled with religion, and different preaching.. He never found truth or joy in any of the religious people he would encounter.. So he decided to try an experiment. He wanted to see what made people tick, what made them want to follow someone or something. He wanted to see what people would be willing to do to find their God.

Though this is about a Guru, I find it could very easily encompass all religions, and how they work, and why people follow them.

I found the movie very enlightening. It was a very interesting take that I don't think most people consider. Go ahead and give it a watch if that sounds interesting to you..
